I watched a YouTube where the demo showed how you could see where you were punching with the Big Bite by turning it over (meaning holding that big thing upside down in your hand) and that did concern me.

This means that Etsy or anyone using our Services cannot take part in transactions that involve designated people, places, or items that originate from certain places, as determined by agencies like OFAC, in addition to trade restrictions imposed by related laws and regulations. I have been thinking of getting a Crop-A-Dile, but then saw the Big Bite version and wondered if the extended reach would be more useful. As gale mentioned, the Crop-a-dile (regular or Big Bite) are most useful when needing to punch holes through thick material such as plastic, leather, tin or multiple pages. That being said, I have to really contort to see where the hole is going as it sits on the desk and one cannot see from the top where the hole should be placed. You are not tied into a contract which means if you change your mind, there are no cancellation fees. This includes items that pre-date sanctions, since we have no way to verify when they were actually removed from the restricted location. It would seem that due to the weight of the Big Bite (being sturdy) and on a flat surface, aligning would be easier. When repeatedly punching holes with the Big Bite in a pattern, it is a little difficult to line up with precision. I have wondered how this works… I even picked one up at Hobby Lobby to purchase, but thought it looked super confusing and so put it back.

And so, while the Big Bite won't be replacing my original Crop-a-dile, the new Big Bite along with its brother, will have a permanent place on my shelf. It was due to the extended flaps for the backpack bottom (for closing) that I could have used the Big Bite to make it easier (due to the longer reach). As I get older, I have less strength in my hands but with the crop-a-dile I find it doesn't take much effort to punch through card and even chipboard.Items originating outside of the US that are subject to the US Tariff Act or related Acts concerning prohibiting the use of forced labour. The demo videos for the Big Bite that I watched say you can see where the hole is going if you hold the thing in your hand and turn it upside down.

After reading the discussion I found myself skipping the eyelet and just making a hole using my old ProvoCraft Silent Setter. At the end of the day I imagine a scrapper or someone into altered / 3d projects is likely to use one more than most card-makers. Where the Big Bite really excels is with its ablility to deliver all of this power an amazing 6" from the edge of your project making it ideal to place accents anywhere on your 12" x 12" scrapbooking page. Making sure the bits are at the correct setting was a challenge on the original and is the same design here.
