The people who had picture issues with Season 20 had the same picture issues with The Underwater Menace Blu-ray so I imagine Season 15 may have the same issues as there is no indication that have identified or resolved the issue. The first in what would become a three-story story arc known as The Black Guardian Trilogy, this serial reintroduces the villain, now portrayed by Valentine Dyall, who plots to kill the Doctor by manipulation alien Turlough (Mark Strickson), who is introduced pretending to be a school boy in 1983 England before being made an offer he lives to regret accepting. Each disc also features extensive Special Features previously released on DVD including: Making Of Documentaries, Featurettes, Audio Commentaries, Info Text, Isolated Music and more. It is up to the Doctor to unearth the terrible origins of the Mara, and seek out the one man who can show him how to defeat the Mara in psychic combat.

In 2007 it was one of several stories released in revised packaging, and then in 2008 a ’25th Anniversary Edition’ was released, containing both the 1995 SE, the original 1983 version, and a wealth of bonuses. Well, according to the commentary, it was the Ergon which was Giger-inspired, which I can see, even if it was very poorly realised. One of the Eternals, the vicious Captain Wrack, is in league with the Black Guardian, however, and will stop at nothing to win. Each disc also features extensive Special Features previously released on DVD including: MAKING OF DOCUMENTARIES, FEATURETTES, AUDIO COMMENTARIES, INFO TEXT, ISOLATED MUSIC AND MORE. Justin has been with Digital Spy since 2010, and in that time, has covered countless major news events for DS from the US.The TARDIS, meanwhile, has brought the Doctor, Nyssa and Tegan to a space station trapped in a warp ellipse. Including Australian interviews with Peter Davison and Janet Fielding shot during production of this season. The TARDIS crew travel to Amsterdam to revisit locations and reminisce about Season 20 and their time on the programme.

The story is perhaps best known for Nyssa’s outfit, or gradual lack-thereof, as she ends up in rather little by end of the story, wherein she also leaves to help the remaining lepers.Box set collection of the 1983 season of Doctor Who, including the stories Arc of Infinity, Snakedance, Mawdryn Undead, Terminus, Enlightenment, The King’s Demons and The Five Doctors. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse. The twentieth season of British science fiction television series Doctor Who began on 3 January 1983 with the story Arc of Infinity, and ended 16 March 1983 with The King's Demons. Peter Grimwade’s script is solid too, and his directing is missed this season, though Peter Moffat’s work is capable enough.

Still impressive when you see it close up - something you can't always say about costumes and props off-screen! The shots of it later on, with Tegan in the TARDIS, looked bad - the Ergon's chicken head looked foolish. All episodes have been newly remastered from the best available sources including original film elements for The Five Doctors. surround options for Snakedance and The Five Doctors, plus Dolby Atmos option for The Five Doctors, all new. So I'll need to tip the case to access each disc under the first one which of course risks the trays tearing out of the case again. The historic 20th season of Doctor Who will be getting a remastered boxset ahead of the show's 60th anniversary later this year.

Now the other engine is on the brink of detonating as well – an event which will have cataclysmic consequences for the cosmos. His presence here works as a one-off appearance, but it’s telling that the next time he would appear was his final one.

The demise Omega faces owing to some timely intervention is quite sad to witness and gives the character a more sympathetic portrayal than we saw with The Three Doctor’s and its over-the-top caricature.
