This graph is the RED using the older GRAS measurement rig which is the official version of my clone 711 coupler.

They’re slightly better than most true wireless earbuds we’ve tested in the past few months, but they still can’t qualify as “hearing protection”. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Dual frequency precise hybrid division: thanks to the high-precision DLP-3D printing technology, the acoustic nozzle structure with filtering function and the precisely calculated RC frequency division form a dual frequency hybrid division, which makes both pilot your dynamics work respectfully. Moreover, the packaging reveals a wide selection of silicone and foam ear tips, a pouch, nozzle cover replacements, and a “ waifu“.

They mention that it's a great product, excellent sound quality, and that it blocks out a lot of sound. Upper mids are elevated, female vocals are really forward and energetic, to the point of slightly shouty to me. For those familiar with my reviews, my usual equipment is my interface (M-Audio AIR 192|4), the FiiO BTR5 2021 and my phone (Poco X3). En cuanto a la construcción se sienten muy bien, no lastiman mi canal auditivo, las almohadillas que vienen están cómodas. On the back of the Zero's packaging, you'll find the frequency response graph and the usual specifications.

Moondrop Chu: I can definitely see listeners who want a leaner and brighter sound preferring the Chu; however, I'm much more of the bass-y and exciting persuasion. The treble issues also become more apparent on brighter sections of tracks that don't have a bassline to balance out the 5kHz emphasis; of course, this perception is exacerbated by the lack of air over 10kHz.

The RED also come with a 10-ohm impedance adapter that can boost the bass, a feature that the original ZERO lacks. It creates a contrast with the RED’s sub-bass boost which, while substantial, is truly a sub-bass boost. Truthear is a relatively new brand, but they chose to collaborate with Crinacle for their very first mainstream offering. Microdynamics are good, while macrodynamic punch is lacking due to the lack of mid-bass and dark mid and upper-treble. The RED’s textured bass and tightly controlled treble response elevates its sound beyond seemingly similar IEMs.

The X3 is a boring DAP but a fabulous DAC, but I was starting to think that it had been overtaken by other FoTM DAC/Amps due to its age; then I remembered one of my hobbies, which is to repair old analogue hi-fi. The TRUTHEAR x Crinacle ZERO are okay for sports and fitness use, although they're not designed with this in mind. The entire treble range is also slightly over-emphasized, meaning the low-mids often sound slightly hollow compared to the exaggerated bass and treble. However, they don't have an integrated mic, so you'll need a standalone microphone to communicate with your teammates. These in-ears have very good peaks and dips performance, so they follow their own sound profile quite well. These IEMs are made from medical-grade resin that’s 3D printed in a uniform body without any visible weak spots. As a result of mid-bass hollowness and a near 12dB rise in the upper-mids, midrange is dominated by the upper-registers. The bass is absolutely the stand-out performer on the Zero, thanks to the dual dynamic driver setup, with one serving for sub-bass frequencies only. In the end, the driver configuration is the most interesting aspect of the Truthear Zero, and there is nothing wrong with that. These premium IEMs feature a hybrid driver design with two 10mm dynamic and four balanced armature drivers.

Truthear Zero is the latest in the line of Crinacle-tuned IEMs and has a rather unique dual-driver setup where one driver acts as a true “woofer”. If you want a really fun IEM that is tuned to Harman Target, you can consider demo-ing this before making a decision to purchase. Looking at the metal nozzle grill and a bass vent, the holes are undoubtedly tiny enough to prevent water droplets from coming inside. With the correct target, we see a bit of bass deficiency which would explain why boosting treble caused brightness. It's possible to snag the cable on something while doing more intense movements, like headbanging, but the two-pin connector will detach before the buds get yanked out of your ears.

Branding comes in the form of the Truthear printed on the upper side and this is not really visible in use.
