Description

The Kardia Mobile ECG and Kardia ECG app records heart rhythms along with symptoms, lifestyle activities and medications on your smart phone or tablet. The US government agency Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) have released a medical advisory for two vulnerabilities affecting AliveCor Kardiamobile products.

The NHS heart age calculations are generated by JavaScript using the JBS3 Cardiovascular Risk Assessment. KardiaMobile 6L can detect the most common arrhythmias, including Atrial fibrillation (AFib), in just 30 seconds. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. It can give readings of Normal SR, Sinus Rhythm with PVC, unreadable, A Fib, and multiple electrical interference readings within minuets of each other.

Six leads means 6 times the heart data, giving you and your doctor the most detailed view of your heart you can get outside of a hospital. KardiaMobile 6L is an FDA-cleared personal EKG that can detect up to six of the most common arrhythmias*. KardiaMobile 6L can detect AFib, Bradycardia, and Tachycardia, with more determinations available with a KardiaCare membership (such as Sinus Rhythm with PVCs, Sinus Rhythm with Wide QRS, and Sinus Rhythm with SVE).

Any unauthorised use or distribution of the tool or associated materials may constitute an infringement of the intellectual property rights of UoC, BCS and their licensors and may lead to legal action. During this time the supply of KardiaMobile to the NHS was paused while the company worked towards meeting the Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC). If you are unsure about your reading or are suffering from undiagnosed symptoms it is always recommended to seek help from a medical professional.

Commissioners and providers have a responsibility to promote an environmentally sustainable health and care system and should assess and reduce the environmental impact of implementing NICE recommendations wherever possible. Exploiting this vulnerability could allow an attacker to read patient electrocardiography (EKG) results or create a denial-of-service condition by emitting sounds at similar frequencies as the device, disrupting the smartphone microphone’s ability to accurately read the data.

As a result, NHS Digital no longer supports any version of Internet Explorer for our web-based products, as it involves considerable extra effort and expense, which cannot be justified from public funds. This exploit allows attackers to bypass app authentication and view or alter information in the app. Easy to use: Place your fingers on the top two electrodes and touch the bottom electrode to your left ankle or leg. Next review: This guidance will be reviewed if there is new evidence that is likely to change the recommendations. The current version of the risk assessment was released in 2012 and is copyright the University of Cambridge.
